Eco Block
ECO-Block, the name says it all. It's what Florida
construction will look like in the 21st century.

There are many types of ICFs, all offering different structural qualties. However, after exhaustive research, countless home shows, and looking at a myriad of insulated concrete forms (ICFs), Hyde Industries chose to build exclusively with ECO-Block. Simply put, Eco-Block is the best product of its kind on the market. The engineering and design flexibility of this product is second to none in ICFs.

The block itself is constructed of expanded polystyrene, a common misnomer is styrofoam. Expanded polystyrene has a much higher density than styrofoam which allows its use in ICFs. The home is constructed very similarly to a child's lego set. After the blocks are in place, the hollow in the center of the blocks, is filled with concrete. This is called a monolithic pour, which means, your home is one solid piece of concrete.

The monolithic pour process produces a home that is twice as strong as standard concrete block construction and, is 3 times as energy efficient when used in conjunction with ICFs. It also eliminates the step cracks, which can be found in every concrete block home over time and, with settling of the foundation.

Eco-Block:

* Reduces noise transmission: STC 51 for a 6" concrete core.

+ Improves indoor air quality.

* Enjoy energy savings of up to 50%.

* Can have up to a 4 hour Fire Resistive Rating.
